The Cambridge Job "Centre" 1996

For years this was sited perfectly in Guildhall Place, near the Market. It was moved out of the centre to Henry Giles House (the old Department of Health & Social Security building) in Chesterton Road in late 1995, creating access difficulties.

Then early in 1996 it was moved out to the Government offices site off Brooklands Avenue whilst Henry Giles House was refurbished, creating a storm of protest.

From September 23rd it was back in Henry Giles House.

As of 1998 the old Guildhall Place building is still disused. There's also been no further development of the adjacent Lion Yard exhibition site.
